چکیده
In recent years, it has been recognized that bacteria can produce antibiotics of wide structural diversity. Many examples for the production of the antibiotics knownas products of Actinomycetales by eubacteria have been reported1*. Here, we will report the isolation of azomycin from the culture broth of a strain identified as Pseudomonas fluorescens. Azomycinwas first isolated from a strain resembling Nocardia mesenterica2'3) and also from Streptomyces eurocidicus*' 5)'. The producing organism numbered PB-6,282 was isolated from river water in Matsusaka-city, Mie Prefecture, and identified as P. fluorescens6) by the following characteristics. The organism is aerobic, Gram-negative, non-sporulating rods (0.5 x 1.0 ~2.0 jum) with rounded ends. Motility is observed with polar multi-trichous flagellation. Colonies on heart infusion agar are circular, slightly convex, smooth and shiny with yellowish orange color. Glucose is metabolized oxidatively. The following tests gave positive results: Catalase, oxidase, gelatin liquefaction, citrate utilization, arginine dihydro-

Production of Recombinant Proline Dehydrogenase Enzyme from Pseudomonas fluorescens pf-5 in E. coli System
Proline dehydrogenase (ProDH; 1.5.99.8) belongs to superfamily of amino acid dehydrogenase, which plays a significant role in the metabolic pathway from proline to glutamate. The goal of this research was gene cloning and characterization of ProDH enzyme from Pseudomonas fluorescens pf-5 strain. The gene encoding ProDH was isolated by means of PCR amplification and cloned in an IPTG inducible T...
متن کاملIsolation of secondary metabolites from Pseudomonas fluorescens and its Characterization
Twenty Pseudomonas fluorescens strains were isolated from rice growing soil samples and characterized. One of the P.fluorescens isolated and identified from the dual culture test. It was fermented for secondary metabolite in a small scale and extracted with ethyl acetate. The isolated metabolite tested against rice fungal pathogens. The structure of the compound was elucidated by high-resolutio...
متن کاملIsolation of Pseudomonas fluorescens from rhizospheric soil of faba bean and assessment of their Phosphate solubility: in vitro study, Ethiopia
Soil fertility improvement is an important area which needs attention since most of the hazardous inputs added into the agricultural system are in the form of chemicals. Since crop production and soil normal flora are affected by input of chemical fertilizer. Biofertilizer microorganisms make the nutrients available to plants. The present study was concerning to isolate of some Pseudomonas fluo...
متن کاملType III secretion system and virulence markers highlight similarities and differences between human- and plant-associated pseudomonads related to Pseudomonas fluorescens and P. putida.
Pseudomonas fluorescens is commonly considered a saprophytic rhizobacterium devoid of pathogenic potential. Nevertheless, the recurrent isolation of strains from clinical human cases could indicate the emergence of novel strains originating from the rhizosphere reservoir, which could be particularly resistant to the immune system and clinical treatment. The importance of type three secretion sy...
متن کاملPathogenic significance of Pseudomonas fluorescens and Pseudomonas putida.
Among the members of the genus Pseudomonas, P. aeruginosa and P. pseudomallei were, until recently, considered the human pathogens. However, since the early 1960s, other Pseudomonas species have been found in clinical specimens, and their number and frequency of isolation seem to be growing.' The "simple fluorescent" species, P. fluorescens and P. putida, belong to those that were thought by ea...
